Itinerario Chevrio (da Limonta)

From the square in Limonta, behind the “Muraglione”, take path no. 27.
After a few metres you come to a fork on the left that climbs towards the locality of Scìresöo; ignore this turn and continue along the main path, which climbs steeply, passing the small buildings (caselli) of Casinul, Facin, La Tana and Preda.

Near the last casello, now abandoned, follow the trail in the woods behind it.
With a steep ascent, this section ends at the junction known as the “zona dei pozzi” (“well area”) after 30–35 minutes of walking.

Along this stretch, especially on humid days, you need to pay some attention because the ground can be slippery.

At the junction, take the path on the right, signposted for Makallè.
After 10–15 minutes of walking, it meets another marked path on the left.
In this case as well, continue straight ahead until you reach the vicinity of Cà Elisa (20–25 minutes).
Then climb along the path, which comes out onto a carriage road.

Follow the road which, after a slightly downhill false flat, descends to the village of Chevrio.
At the junction, just after the descent, take the small road on the left which leads to the village square, where you have to go up along the path on the left.

After 15–20 minutes on this comfortable path, which cuts through the woods above Chevrio, you return to the junction already seen earlier; follow the route in reverse, turning right and continuing as far as the other junction previously encountered (Limonta no. 27).

Then take the waymarked path on the left (paying attention, as the descent is very steep), which returns to Limonta in 20–25 minutes, following the same path already taken and passing near the caselli.

The route starts from the square in Limonta, behind the “Muraglione” wall.
Here you take path no. 27.

After a few metres, there is a fork on the left that climbs towards Scìresöo:
you do not take this turn, but continue along the main path, which climbs steeply.
Along the way you pass the small stone buildings of Casinul, Facin, La Tana and Preda.

Near the last, abandoned casello, you follow a small trail in the woods behind it.
The climb is steep and leads to the junction called the “zona dei pozzi” (“well area”) after about 30–35 minutes.

On this stretch, especially on humid days, the ground can be slippery, so you need to be careful.

At the junction, you take the path on the right, signposted for Makallè.
After 10–15 minutes, the path meets another marked path on the left.
Here too, you continue straight ahead, without turning, until you reach the area near Cà Elisa (about 20–25 minutes).

You then go up along a path that comes out onto a carriage road.
You follow this road, which is slightly downhill at first and then descends to the village of Chevrio.

At the junction, just after the descent, you take the small road on the left, which leads to the village square.
From the square, you go up along the path on the left.

After 15–20 minutes on this easy path, which crosses the woods above Chevrio, you return to the junction you have already seen before.
You turn right and follow the same route back, until you reach the other junction (signposted Limonta no. 27).

Here you take the marked path on the left.
The descent is very steep, so you must be careful.
In about 20–25 minutes you are back in Limonta, along the same path as the outward journey, again passing near the caselli.
